Benjamin Le Hebel wins the Short Distance Race in Carnon

Last week at the Carnon Wingfoil Event in France our Ambassador Benjamin Le Hebel managed to win the short distance race category.

Here is his report:

"On Saturday, I took my 5.7m2 WASPv3 wing, the Wingfoil  81L Carbon Board  and my choice for the foil was the  XAR-1050 . The wind was gusty at the start, but during the run the wind increased a lot.

For the afternoon. The race had to be canceled and I decided to go with many pro riders and  friends down to Carnon in a huge downwind.

35 knots of wind 3m of swell. I just changed to my wing to a 3.5m2. The surfs was violent and adrenaline was up.

The Sunday. The wind was more constant and I decided to manage thoses runs with a 5m2 wing and the XAR 900 Foil.

I completed 3 more good runs. Even when another  winger made me fall,  I kept the lead and won the Senior Short Distance Class."

Congratulations Ben and good luck in the next race!
